Job summary

Drax Group Canada is seeking a Red Seal Millwright at our Lavington, BC site. The role focuses on routine maintenance, installation and repair of mechanical equipment, and supporting safety initiatives as part of a zero-carbon energy future.

You will contribute to shutdowns, capital projects, and mentor apprentices, while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards. A driver’s license and independence help you thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certified Millwright
• 5+ years in heavy industry
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
• Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations is advantageous
• Independent worker able to adapt to schedule changes

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on machines to uphold safety, quality and environmental standards
• Install, inspect and repair mechanical equipment, collaborating with other trades
• Assist in shutdowns and strategic capital projects
• Mentor Millwright Apprentices and support safety programs
