Job summary

Summit Inspection Services Ltd. is seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) with IRATA for Lifting Equipment Inspection and Maintenance.

The role focuses on mechanical and electrical integrity of cranes/hoists, maintenance of lifting gear, and safe operation in field assignments across western Canada. The candidate must hold a Journeyman Electrician or Industrial Mechanic qualification, IRATA rope access, and relevant safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson electrician or industrial mechanic with industrial equipment experience.
• 4000+ hours direct experience working on cranes or hoists.
• IRATA rope access certification required.
• Valid safety certifications: H2S Alive, Emergency First Aid, CSO, Confined Space Entry/Rescue, OSSA Fall Protection.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to work at high elevations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass pre-access drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical and electrical integrity of cranes/hoists and lifting equipment.
• Maintenance and servicing of cranes/hoists and mobile lifting gear.
• Operate and inspect lifting systems; ensure safety standards are met.
• Work often completed with Rope Access (IRATA).
