Job summary

Manpower in Vaughan, ON is seeking a skilled Millwright (433A) for a plastics extrusion manufacturing environment. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, Ontario 433A, PLC knowledge, AutoCAD interpretation, and CMMS usage. This full-time position offers day-shift rotation and full benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Requires 433A Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Certification (Ontario).
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to identify electrical faults, check fuses and trace faults.
• Experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred).
• Skilled in mechanical assembly/disassembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining.
• Able to read AutoCAD drawings, schematics, blueprints and sketches.
• Basic computer skills and CMMS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance using a CMMS and complete inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on electromechanical machinery to minimize downtime.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, AutoCAD drawings.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential failures and prevent breakdowns.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support production needs.
• Complete work orders promptly and safely.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout, and WHMIS guidelines.
• Provide light machining tasks (slotting, shaft polishing) as needed.
• Assume additional duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.

What You’ll Be Working On

You will work with a range of advanced equipment, including:

• Plastic extrusion lines
• Vacuum systems
• Cooling systems
• Rotating machinery used in cable manufacturing
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• 433A Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Certificate of Qualification (Ontario).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong diagnostic skills with both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to identify electrical issues (checking fuses, tracing faults, isolating failures).
• Exposure to PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred, troubleshooting)
• Skilled in mechanical assembly/disassembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining.
• Ability to use machine shop tools and perform routine machining when required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings, schematics, blueprints, and sketches.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CMMS platforms.
