Job summary

Memorial University of Newfoundland is seeking a Millwright Apprentice to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment across the main campus, Ocean Sciences Center, Signal Hill Campus and other university properties.

Duties include responding to routine and emergency calls, inspecting equipment, maintaining HVAC and water systems, and supporting installations. Candidates must have completed pre‑apprenticeship training and hold a valid Newfoundland and Labrador driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Pre-apprenticeship training completed or in progress for journeyperson.
• Valid driver’s license required per Newfoundland and Labrador regulations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of mechanical equipment.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls on campus equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC, diesel generators, pumps and related systems.
• Assist in minor new installations and system activations.
