Job summary

NRC is seeking a Millwright (Machinist) to maintain, install, inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair building systems and equipment at our St. John's site.

You will work under the Site Operations and Maintenance Manager, independently yet as part of a team, across pumps, motors, HVAC, piping, valves, and lab equipment. The role emphasizes safety, on-call readiness, and strong communication with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards.
• Machinist or Millwright trade certification in accordance with provincial standards.
• Assets: First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, experience with refrigeration/ hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair building systems and equipment.
• Support other trades on site while often working independently.
• Be on call for emergencies and on-site operations.
• Follow safety regulations and document maintenance activities.
