Job summary

Agrifoods International Cooperative Ltd in Ontario is seeking a Millwright and Electrician with a dual ticket to join our Plant Team. You will work to keep processors, homogenizers, pasteurizers, and packaging equipment operating reliably through proactive maintenance and quick issue resolution.

The role requires an Ontario 433A Millwright and a 442A Electrician license, knowledge of GMPs/HACCP, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills to support continuous improvement initiatives and

Qualifications

• 3+ years maintenance experience in food industry (preferably dairy).
• GMPs and HACCP knowledge.
• Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability.
• Analytical, problem-solving and project-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Repair and maintain equipment (processors, homogenizers, pasteurizers, packaging, etc).
• Lead local management of parts for projects and coordinate contractors’ activities as required.
• Check shipments on arrival and contact suppliers for issues or inquiries.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and preventive maintenance.

We are looking for a Millwright and Electrician with a dual ticket to join our Plant Team! Primarily, the person will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of our equipment, from reactive, to preventive and finally to predictive Maintenance.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience within the food industry, preferably dairy.
• Must possess an Ontario and/or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) – 433A license and 442A License (Electrician) required. A dual ticket (Millwright + Electrician) is required.
• Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP.
• Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability
• You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills
• You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical/pneumatic/electrical pumps and valves

NICE-TO-HAVE

• Computer skills would be an asset.
• Experience working with a CMMS would be an asset
• Familiar with continuous improvement processes and methodologies would be an asset.
