Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Milton, Ontario is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Millwright to join the Operational Maintenance team. This role supports the production line through preventive and corrective maintenance and reliable equipment operation.

It features a continental rotating shift schedule with 12-hour days and nights. A valid Ontario Millwright license and 5 years of heavy industrial experience are required, plus ability to read drawings and work safely with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education with post-secondary mechanical/technical studies.
• Valid Ontario Millwright License 433A.
• Minimum 5 years heavy industrial experience and/or completed apprenticeship in Canada.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and safety protocols.
• Able to operate with minimal supervision and make safe, informed decisions.
• Willingness to overtime on short notice.
• Collaborative team player with trades and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical and technical support to the production line to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Perform repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery.
• Repair and replace components to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics with strong safety focus.
• Read and follow drawings, blueprints, schematics and safety requirements.
• Work with bearings and systems and support new installations.
