Job summary

Discovery Kidd is seeking a licensed Millwright for a permanent full-time role at Kidd Operations. Apprentices will be considered if a licensed candidate is not available. The position includes overtime and response to emergency callouts.

Key responsibilities include maintenance of fixed equipment (compressors, pumps, conveyors, crushers and piping) and mechanical installations. Candidates should have a Millwright red seal and be able to meet CAAT/DAT testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification as Millwright (red seal) is required.
• CWB welding certification (or ability to be trained).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
• CAAT and DAT testing completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, fans, hydraulics, pneumatics, crushers and piping.
• Mechanical installations and troubleshooting of maintenance systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Working with maintenance programs, computer maintenance management systems and maintenance practices/procedures.
• Working safely in confined spaces, at heights and near open holes.

Education

The Position

We are seeking a licensed millwright; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered. This is a permanent full-time position and is part of a collective bargaining unit. Some overtime and response to emergency callouts is required.

Skills And Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• An all-position CWB welding certification or the ability to be trained.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
• Complete or have recently completed CAAT and DAT testing in a satisfactory manner.
