Job summary

Discovery Kidd Operations in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a Mill Operator to operate the mill, including crusher duties, de-watering, and tailings management, under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor.

The successful candidate will perform other related mill tasks as needed, work rotational shifts, and maintain safety and operational standards in an outdoor environment. Competitive compensation and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work rotational shifts as required to meet business needs.
• Be physically fit, with potential need to complete a Physical Demands Analysis.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Have successfully completed, or recently passed CAAT/DAT testing.
• Possess a valid G driver’s licence or equivalent.

The Position

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Crusher operation
• De-watering processes
• Tailings management rounds
• All other duties related to mill operation and as assigned by the supervisor

Skills And Qualifications

As outlined in the Collective Agreement, the successful candidate must:

• Have the ability to work rotational shifts as required to meet business needs
• Be physically fit, with the potential need to complete a Physical Demands Analysis
• Be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and performing physically demanding tasks such as handling heavy material and climbing ladders/stairs
• Have successfully completed, or recently passed CAAT/DAT testing
• Possess a valid G driver’s licence or equal
