Job summary

KML Windows Inc., a division of Andersen Corporation, is seeking a Maintenance Millwright in Ontario to maintain, troubleshoot and repair production equipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality and continuous improvement to support Kaizen initiatives and plant efficiency.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issues, mentoring apprentices, and collaborating with IT and engineering for equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid certificate of qualification as a Millwright and 5 years’ related experience.
• PC and PLC knowledge for upgrading, troubleshooting and machine control is preferred.
• Advanced maintenance skills including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and welding.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical schematics, prints and wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and safety practice skills.

Responsibilities

• Assure productivity, quality and safety goals are met.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Lead maintenance activities and coach apprentices when needed.
• Coordinate with engineering to implement equipment changes and layout.
• Maintain documentation and use the maintenance management system.
