Norseman Inc main is seeking a seasoned Millwright to lead maintenance operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and oversee installation, adjustment and on-site upkeep of mechanical systems.

The role requires a Journeyman Red Seal Millwright with at least 10 years in a supervisory or lead-hand position within industrial settings, plus strong PM and safety discipline.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal Millwright certificate is required.
• At least 10 years of supervisory or lead-hand experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Strong PM, troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience assembling/disassembling mechanical equipment.
• Experience operating heavy-duty machinery.
• Experience in construction or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilités

Description du poste

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Millwright is responsible for safely executing various millwrighting duties throughout the facility.

Job Duties

• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate logs
• Machine troubleshooting, repairing, assembly, dismantling equipment as required and in-line with manufactures specifications and recommended standards
• Responsible for installation, adjustment, and maintenance of mechanical machines and equipment on site
• Ability to safely operate hoisting and lifting devices
• Inspect and examine machinery to detect irregularities
• Communication any failures, unsafe conditions, or wear/damaged equipment found to the Operations Manager and/or recommend equipment changes
• Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and ensuring safety policies and practices are adhered to.
• Comply with safety rules; report all accidents, incidents and potential hazards immediately.

Requirements

• Journeyman Red Seal Millwright certificate is required
• At least 10 years of experience in a supervisory or lead-hand role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in preventative maintenance (PM), machinery troubleshooting, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical breakdowns. Sewing machines maintenance experience is a significant asset.
• Assembling and disassembling mechanical equipment and machinery
• Experience operating heavy-duty machinery
• Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is required
• Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
• Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to red, write, and communicate effectively

Work Conditions

• Warehouse setting, Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
