Job summary

A leading company in the milling industry is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join their team in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will oversee mill projects, assist with maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. This role requires a Journeyperson certification and experience in managing teams and projects. Regular travel to mill sites is expected.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson or equivalent experience preferred.

Olysky LP is looking for a Journeyman Millwright to join our team.

This position will assist with on-location supervision, coordination, and execution of mill projects and maintenance.

General Responsibilities
  1. Assist Mill Project Supervisor with scoping of mill projects (upgrades, major repairs, equipment replacement)
  2. Provide on-site supervision and coordination of contractor work related to mill projects
  3. Execute small projects/work scopes
  4. Assist internal mill maintenance team to complete centrally delivered maintenance requests or MTNC programs
  5. Provide assistance/support to trade persons & external contractors
  6. Travel regularly to mill sites with occasional overnight stays as required by projects
  7. Comply with all biosecurity protocols
  8. Maintain a safe work environment
  9. Ensure work sites are clean and tidy
  10. Attend centrally organized training programs
  11. Perform other related duties
Education/Experience Required
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Journeyperson or equivalent experience considered an asset
  • Welding & general mechanical knowledge
  • Experience managing subcontractors and small teams in a project/construction environment
  • Ability to work independently and make field-level decisions to benefit the organization
  • Effective time management and supervisory skills
  • Valid driver's license
