Overview of the Role or Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Shift: Midnights - 11:00PM to 7:30AM

How you will make contributions that matter:
- Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production efficiencies are achieved.
- Responsible for stock room management and providing order requests for parts required for routine and preventive maintenance.
- Carries out equipment installations, modifications, and changeovers as required.
- Handles troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs, preventative/predictive maintenance plans, and spare parts supply room.
- Coordinates and oversees contractors as required.
- Ensures all equipment is maintained properly and that replacement parts are available to minimize machine downtime.
- Works with other trades groups to complete projects and provides training to plant staff as needed.
- Documents and maintains all appropriate records.
- Follows all GMPs and works in accordance with corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation standards.
- Ensures all work is performed safely, following OH&S, WSIB, and company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager.
You are best suited for the role if you:
- Have a Professional Certificate of Industrial Maintenance (e.g., 442A Certificate of Qualification) or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting, with equipment repairs and welding experience.
- Have at least 1 year of experience related to the food industry, preferably dairy, or high-speed process equipment or packaging.
- Possess knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Experience with boilers, refrigeration, and air handling systems is an asset.
- Can read blueprints, troubleshoot, and have strong analytical skills.
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate high motivation and initiative.
- Have a dependable attendance and safety record.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Are able to support all shifts, including weekends, overtime, and on-call duties.
