Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Solve maintenance related problems with minimum interruption to production.
  2. Perform all maintenance and repair work in either plant or grounds.
  3. Perform repairs and maintenance of production and other equipment.
  4. Troubleshoot in the plant, offices, all systems, and grounds as required.
  5. Maintain up to date documentation of all equipment, including documenting all changes to all equipment in MVP.
  6. Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and downtime reduction process, including following the PMP schedule and filling the PMP checklists.
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality.
  8. Participate in all maintenance related training to upgrade skills and knowledge to meet changing technologies, customer, government, and health and safety requirements.
  9. Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and cost reduction, including manufacturing, repairs, and installations of parts, components, services, and equipment.
  10. Prepare a list of all problems encountered during the shift and other necessary reports.
  11. Advise the Maintenance Manager of any potential problems and offer solutions to correct them.
  12. Ensure and maintain clear and safe working conditions.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Basic Requirements:

  1. Must possess a Millwright license; 5 years of experience is preferred.
  2. Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  3. Experience with paint lines, power and free conveyor systems is preferred.
  4. Experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  5. Good knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes and experience with industrial machine repair.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Leverages problem solving techniques.
  8. Must be able to work any of the three shifts when required.
