Job summary

MAHLE GmbH in Tilbury, CA is seeking a skilled Millwright for production maintenance and facility upgrades. You will repair, service and log work orders, collaborate with engineering, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Qualifications

• Skilled Trades certificate or valid Certificate of Qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in maintenance.
• Strong background in preventative maintenance.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in welding, fabricating, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Electrical skills are required.
• Proven reliability with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Day to day repairs on production, tooling, equipment and building facilities from work orders, including project work
• Usage of various lifting devices
• Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment and log progress in computer system
• Works with engineering to upgrade production equipment and materials
• General housekeeping of benches and work area including plant and equipment
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Team activities
• Train new employees by sharing knowledge of equipment
• Create and log computer work orders for all work performed
• All other duties as assigned

Reporting to: Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Day to day repairs on production, tooling, equipment and building facilities from work orders, including project work
• Usage of various lifting devices
• Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment and log progress in computer system
• Works in tandem with engineering staff giving ideas and implementing upgrades to current production equipment and timing and materials
• General housekeeping of benches and responsible work area including plant and equipment
• Partake in and cooperate with Continuous Improvement Team for the area
• Training new employees by exchanging knowledge of equipment to new hires
• Create and log in computer work orders for all work performed
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Skilled Trades certificate (Proof of Valid Certificate of Qualification shall be provided at the time of submitting job posting form)
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Strong background in Preventative Maintenance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of welding, fabricating, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Electrical skills necessary
• A good work performance and attendance record.
