Job summary

Evolution Mining's Red Lake Operations in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain Process Plant equipment and support predictive and preventative maintenance programs. You will ensure safe, efficient and continuous operation with minimal disruption from mechanical failures at Red Lake.

The role is local residential with a 7 days on, 7 days off (12 hours) roster. Salary ranges CAD 110,000 to CAD 140,000 plus a competitive bonus and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary mechanical program or apprenticeship leading to certification.
• Journeyman Millwright Interprovincial certification required.
• Minimum 3 years trades experience in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of process equipment and plant inflows/outflows.
• Ability to read drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain process equipment.
• Lay out, assemble and install piping, fittings and valves with safe procedures.
• Maintain equipment logs and daily journals.
• Support preventative maintenance planning with Coordinator.
• Contribute to a safe, accident-free work environment.

About the role

The Millwright role offers the opportunity to perform maintenance functions and duties associated with predictive and preventative maintenance programs. You will be responsible for maintaining Process Plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient and continuous operation with minimal disruption as a result of mechanical failure at Red Lake Operations. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The roster will be 7 days on and 7 days off (12 hours) and is a local residential role.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $110,000 to

$140,000 CAD.

Key result areas will include:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain process equipment
• Align, level, and install machine sections components and drives ensuring safe lifting procedures Inspect, troubleshoot and maintain various types of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Lay out, assemble and install piping, fitting, valves and hoses associated with various inflows and outflowsthroughout the plant Lubricate equipment
• Complete inspection reports, daily journals, equipment logs and technical reports
• Maintain workplace in neat and orderly condition
• Work in conjunction with the Maintenance Planning Coordinator when it comes to preventative maintenance issues and specialized or capital work
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As a Millwright, you will have a successful completion of a post-secondary institution in an mechanical-related program or have acquired qualifications of the trade by progressively advancing through an apprenticeship program in order to become certified. You must possess a valid Journeyman Millwright Interprovencial to be eligible for the role.

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

• Minimum 3 years trades experience in a heavy industrial field
• Solid understanding of the site’s inflows and outflows of air, water, solutions, reagents, slurry, and effluent
• Strong knowledge of the plant’s process equipment (e.g., crushers, conveyors, grinding mills, filter, pumps, thickeners, agitators, cyclones, etc)
• Sound ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, parameters and specifications
• Comprehensive knowledge of different lubricants and their uses as they pertain to process equipment
• Extensive experience using lifting procedures with a variety of hoists and cranes
• Solid comprehension and ability to read technical drawings
• Competent ability to work with hydraulics
• Well-developed ability to comprehend and interpret operations manuals
• Good working knowledge of computerized maintenance system
• Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail.
