Job summary

Evolution Mining, a leading gold producer, is recruiting for an Operator Scoop at Red Lake, Ontario. You will complete required training and demonstrate capability to safely operate scooptrams and related mining equipment, progressing through Miner levels on a 14 days on/14 days off roster.

Based residentially at Red Lake, the role offers a competitive CAD salary from CAD 100,970 to 136,607, a bonus structure, and clear pathways for growth within our multi-mine operation.

Qualifications

• 5 years of directly related underground mining experience.
• Ability to demonstrate competence to perform skills as Miner 5 with progression potential.
• Must demonstrate competence in installation of ground support.
• Flexible and willing to work on a rotational shiftwork basis.
• Hard working and conscientious with good attendance and safety record.

About the role

The Operator Scoop is responsible for successfully completing all required training, and acquiring and demonstrating your capability to competently perform all required tasks in a safe manner in order to advance to Miner 3 at Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The position will be on a 14 days on and 14 days off roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $100,970 to $136,607 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Perform duties with skills acquired as Miner 5 and 6.
• Train and successfully demonstrate ability to operate and obtain required licensing (e.g. scooptram, scissor lift, and various mining equipment).
• Install ground support (job task observation required).
• Perform tasks as directed under the direction of supervisor.
• Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Comply with all safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Observe experienced workers to gain and increase knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards.
• Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

About you

It is important that you have/ can demonstrate:
