Job summary

Winland Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to repair and service processing and packaging equipment across the Plant.

You’ll apply basic welding and machining skills, troubleshoot to minimize downtime, and install or modify machinery as needed. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and teamwork; you’ll report status, collaborate with production and maintenance teams, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining high quality standards in a food manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Repairing and servicing processing and packaging equipment on a planned schedule
• Effective troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime—understanding failure modes and recommending solutions to eliminate equipment failures
• Installation and modifications of machinery and equipment as needed
• Collaborating with manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability
• Pro‑actively reporting equipment status and repair requirements to production and maintenance teams in a clear and positive manner
• Reporting daily work effort and failure root causes to facilitate reliability improvement
• All duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Basic welding and machining skills
• C of Q – Industrial Mechanic – Millwright (433A)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while valuing team effort
• Dependability and comfortable with decision‑making
• Good computer skills
• You’re a self‑starter who is willing to take the initiative
• Provide timely and high‑quality work with exceptional attention to detail
• Solid people and communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Food manufacturing work experience considered an asset
• Knowledge and experience working with pneumatic and steam systems considered an asset

Physical Activity / Working Conditions: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Bend/twist, push/pull as needed to complete work tasks.
