Overview

Our client is a leading food production facility dedicated to delivering high-quality products. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Millwright to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical equipment and systems. Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical equipment in the facility
• Perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks as required
• Trouble shoot and repair of general equipment, mechanical and electrical
• Provide general maintenance support to food processing machines, conveyors, etc.
• Manage all control systems in the plant, utilizing thorough knowledge of processing and packaging systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in a general maintenance role; manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset.
• Certified as a Journeyman Millwright is required.
• Experience with maintenance and/or repair of similar industrial commercial facility.
• Experience with welding and machining and proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of PMC programs or other preventative maintenance software.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and comply with Company policies, Health and Safety legislation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and environmental standards.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis, standing for duration of shift.
• Willingness to work as part of a 2 person team.
• Self-motivated, able to work with a sense of urgency within tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must have own tools, toolbox, and safety shoes in good repair.
• Willingness to work weekend shifts, overtime, and rotating shifts as required.
