Job summary

Agrifoods International Cooperative Ltd in Delta, BC is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in a fast-paced plant environment. You will install, repair and maintain heavy equipment, read blueprints, and ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a Red Seal Millwright certification, strong electrical diagnostics and PLC/HMI experience, and solid troubleshooting skills. You will work with cross-functional teams to protect product quality and production targets.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a busy plant environment.
  • Red Seal Millwright certification.
  • Strong background in electrical diagnostics and repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC and program logic an asset.
  • Working knowledge of HMI as they relate to processing, filling equipment in a food-manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical and mechanical skills.
  • Great interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Operate hoisting/lifting device and machine tools as needed.
  • Install, align, take apart, and move stationary industrial machinery/mechanical equipment using appropriate tools.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Familiar with HACCP principles, pre-requisite programs, and adhering to plant-specific GMP and GWP rules.

Skills & Experience
