Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. is looking for a millwright to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure optimal production.

Successful candidates must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate, be capable of working rotating shifts, and have relevant industrial experience. • Must be able to work rotating shifts (days & nights).
• Must successfully pass the pre-employment screening process.

• Receive instructions for repair, installation, and inspection work.
• Inspect mill equipment for defects.
• Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize production interruption.
• Advise when immediate shutdown is necessary to minimize damage.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain mechanical equipment.
• Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
• Make temporary or permanent repairs.
• Assemble and align gears, bearings and shafts.
• Work with repair crew on emergency breakdowns.

Job Overview

We are looking for a millwright to join our InterPro Pipe and Steel team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment in a major producing unit or assigned area.
• Receive instructions covering scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
• Inspect mill equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.
• Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
• Advise when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate mechanical equipment.
• Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
• Make either temporary or permanent repairs.
• Assemble and align gears, bearings and shafts, involving the application of press, sliding and running fits.
• Work with repair crew as directed on emergency breakdowns.
• Other assigned duties as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
