Job summary

Red Deer Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to provide support to students at Eastview Middle School. This 30-hour weekly role runs from August 31, 2026 to June 30, 2027, assisting students with learning activities and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Successful applicants will support students with diverse needs, work independently and in teams, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and compassionate communication.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent education is an asset.
• Experience or training in supporting children with diverse and complex needs or behaviours is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to creating a positive learning environment.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable assisting students with personal care needs, including toileting and lifting as required.
