The Communications Security Establishment (CSE) in Ottawa is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer (various levels) to design, implement, and optimize Dynamics 365 and Dataverse solutions across enterprise environments. You will build plugins, automations, integrations, and dashboards while ensuring data integrity and security.
The role offers opportunities across levels, a collaborative development team, and telework options for part of the week.

Responsibilities
- Develop Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse solutions, including plugins, automations, dashboards, workflows, and reports.
- Create integrations and custom components for Dynamics 365 and Dataverse; include data lake sync jobs and API integrations.
- Migrate customer data into Dynamics 365 and perform data migration tooling development.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Gather requirements, document procedures, provide user support and training, and administrate Dynamics 365 user accounts.

You will work as part of a collaborative development team responsible for the administration, development, and enhancement of a Microsoft (MS) Dynamics 365 and Dataverse platform. As a MS Dynamics 365 developer you will design and implement innovative solutions, develop integrations with enterprise systems, automate business processes, and help deliver reliable services that support the mission of the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security.
Whether you are an entry-level, intermediate, or experienced developer, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, expand your technical expertise, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge-sharing.
- develop Microsoft (MS) Dynamics 365 and solution maintenance and configuration
- develop and maintain custom plugins and automations for Microsoft Dynamics 365
- develop integrations and custom components for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse, including data lake synchronization jobs, AI-enabled Model Context Protocol servers and tools and API integrations
- develop data migration tools for migrating customer data into MS Dynamics 365
- build MS Dynamics 365 dashboards, workflows and reports
- perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
- Requirements gathering and user support duties:
- participate in requirements gathering
- create and maintain documentation on procedures and governance
- provide support to users for data entry and distribution lists
- administrate MS Dynamics 365, including creation of user accounts and maintenance
- provide or participate in demos or user training

The majority of our jobs are in Ottawa, Ontario. CSE has two accessible facilities . Flexible work arrangements, including telework for a portion of the work week, may be possible.
A valid Enhanced Top Secret ( ETS ) security clearance is a condition of employment that must be met before an offer can be made.

You must have either one of the following:
- a professional certification, college diploma or university degree in a field related to the position, such as (but not limited to) Software Engineering Technician, Computer System Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g. Computer, Software, Electrical), Mathematics; or
- a secondary school diploma and relevant experience in a field related to the position (as above).
Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials. Students graduating within the next twelve months are eligible to apply.

- For the UNMA-07 or UNMA-08 (entry and intermediate levels) asset experience include:
- Microsoft (MS) Dynamics 365 or on-prem administration or development experience
- experience with RESTful service development
- experience in Power Platform, Canvas App building, Power Automate, Azure web apps, Functions, or containerized applications
- experience utilizing Cloud technology
- experience developing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies
- experience using and maintaining releases and deployments with Azure DevOps
- experience using source control like Git
- experience with user experience (UX) principles, usability, accessibility, and interface design best practices
- experience developing custom plug-ins, workflows, or extensions for MS Dynamics 365/Dataverse
- For the UNMA-09 (experienced level) assets also include:
- experience designing and developing integrations between enterprise applications using APIs and web services
- experience with AI-enabled solutions or Model Context Protocol (MCP) services
- experience developing data integration, synchronization, or migration solutions between enterprise systems
Overtime and standby duty may be required.

The intent of this process is to fill vacant positions at CSE. The process may also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures.
