Under general supervision and reporting to the MRI supervisor or designate, the MRI Technologist is part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing client-centered care. The role involves performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) special procedures, which includes receiving and completing requisitions, preparing and monitoring supplies and equipment, patient monitoring, and operating acquisition equipment. The technologist is also responsible for archiving acquired images and managing computerized patient data systems.
Graduation from an accredited Magnetic Resonance program and certification as a Technologist in Magnetic Resonance (RTMR) with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). A minimum of three (3) years recent, related experience, including at least two (2) years MRI experience in an acute setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
CDH and WCG only: CPR Certificate - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
