Job description

Job Title: MI MRI Technologist

Join Island Health as an MI MRI Technologist and be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing patient-centered care. In this role, you will perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, including preparing requisitions, monitoring supplies and equipment, patient care, and operating imaging systems.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Magnetic Resonance program and certification as a Technologist in Magnetic Resonance (RTMR) with CAMRT.
  • Three years of recent, relevant experience, including two years in an MRI acute setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPR/BCLS certification (for CDH and WCG applicants).
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of image quality assessment, diagnostic procedures, radiation safety, and quality control standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical imaging software such as PACS.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Physically capable of performing job duties.
