Reporting to the Supervisor, Integrated Services, the Methods Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and management of strategies for the Parks and Roads Services Branch. The Analyst provides guidance and support in reviewing business activities, processes, and service requirements to develop solutions that improve processes and productivity. The role also involves project management and coordination for internal customer experience initiatives.
What will you do?
- Develop, recommend, and implement consistent processes and practices for the Branch.
- Identify, develop, and support the implementation of new business processes.
- Review existing processes to identify efficiencies and improvements for Parks and Roads Services.
- Support the implementation of corporate initiatives such as service review, foundational assessment, productivity audits, and enterprise performance management.
- Apply best practice methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Process Mapping) in coordination with the Department Strategy teams.
- Work closely with business units to implement new processes and improve the Branch.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Develop dashboards, analytics, and reports using tools like Tableau and DataStudio to support data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate to develop or review processes, using data analytics to gather business intelligence and ROI for continuous improvement.
- Create change management and implementation plans to ensure successful adoption and minimize negative impacts.
- Conduct research and environmental scanning to stay current on trends and best practices.
- Develop SOPs, dashboards, reports, and presentations for leadership.
- Design and administer customer experience surveys and related assessments.
Qualifications
- University degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field, with a focus on research methods or quantitative/qualitative methods.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos.
Assets
- Training in Process Improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma), Project Management, Change Management.
- Knowledge of GIS software and FME is an asset.

Additional Information
Applicants may be tested. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement. Hours are under review, and salary ranges from $41.172 to $51.438 hourly, or approximately $72,535 to $90,621 annually. The position is located at 16th Floor Edmonton Tower, 10111 104 Avenue Edmonton.
