Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, Quebec, is seeking a Methods Agent FTC to join our Aerospace Canada organization. You will define, write, and correct functional test procedures for aircraft systems, and provide technical support for functional testing.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, logistics and quality teams to identify root causes and assess costs, impacts, and risks of production changes. You’ll also help improve testing strategies and support related R&D projects, interpreting

Qualifications

• Technical college diploma in avionics or maintenance aircraft or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in aeronautics.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal communication and customer mindset.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiar with ERP systems BAAN and SAP.
• Bilingual in French and English; knowledge of Bombardier docs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Define, write, and correct functional test procedures for aircraft systems.
• Support the resolution and troubleshooting of technical problems related to functional testing of aircraft systems.
• Provide technical support for functional testing of aircraft systems.
• Work closely with the engineering, production, logistics and quality functions.
• Investigate the root causes of problems and analyze potential solutions by evaluating costs, impacts and risks of changes in production.
• Be on the lookout for ways to improve testing strategies and participate in R&D projects.
• Interpret engineering requirements and other documents from the engineering department.
• Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or functional testing strategy.
• Ensure feasibility and plan changes requested by production and by customers (RFQ).
• Identify opportunities to eliminate non-added value and optimize production.
• Support the creation of tools according to precise technical requirements.

• You have a technical college diploma in avionics or maintenance aircraft and / or equivalent experience.
• You have 5 years or more of experience in aeronautics.
• You can work under pressure.

• You have a strong customer mindset and good interpersonal communication skills.
• You know the software of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• You are familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as BAAN, SAP, etc.
• You master the French language, both orally and in writing, and you have a good knowledge of the English language.
• Knowledge of aircraft and interior completion systems will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Bombardier technical documentation (AMM, SB, BAPS, CMM, etc.) will be considered an asset.
