Job summary

Metergy Solutions is a Toronto area–based technology company specializing in submetering for multi-residential and commercial buildings. This role supports meter installation inspections, programming, and commissioning across electrical, water and thermal meters, helping to deliver accurate consumption data and reliable billing.

The position includes warehouse support, field wiring, and collaboration with project managers.

Qualifications

• College level reading and writing required.
• Basic understanding of electricity act & regulations.
• Ability to use hand tools, volt meter and basic test equipment.
• Mid to advanced knowledge of electrical theory.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assistance on meter installation inspections for all meters used by Metergy
• Meter programming assistance for all meters used by Metergy
• Meter commissioning for all thermal, water and electrical meters that do not fall under S-E-04 used by Metergy
• All meter communication wiring including phone/ethernet, RS-485, low voltage cabling and termination
• Assembly of metering and related equipment to support installations
• Installation of metering equipment to support installations
• Warehouse support including deliveries and inventory counts
• Investigating and resolve communication issues and clerical issues
• Test Current Transformer cable assemblies
• Splice Current Transformer cable harnesses
• Work with Measurement Canada and other governing entities
• Administrative work as required by the role
• Building status updates – proactive communication with site foreman/project managers
• Support building design
• Mandatory position Level Testing when hiring new employees
