Job summary

ecl.vincere.io is seeking a Purchasing Manager – Metals to lead the metals category across multiple product lines and manufacturing operations in a primarily in-office role in Regina. You will shape sourcing strategies, build strong supplier partnerships, and drive cost and value improvements.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and product planning to understand material requirements, manage contracts, and provide market insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in SCM, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field is an asset; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Several years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain, with strong knowledge of the steel and metals industry.
• Experience working with steel mills, service centres, metal suppliers, or similar organizations is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of both raw and processed metal products, including plate, coil, HSS, weldments, profiles, and other metal components.

Responsibilities

• Take strategic ownership of the metals category, ensuring competitive sourcing and strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms; manage pricing frameworks to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product planning to align sourcing with internal needs.
• Track spend, supplier performance, and procurement benefits to drive continuous improvement.
