Overview

Metallurgy Technician – responsible for routine metallurgical, mechanical, failure, and corrosion testing to support metallurgy operations on site or in a laboratory.

Pay range: $24-26/hr CAD

If you are not currently authorized to work in Canada, Element Materials Technology will not consider your application. Any candidate must be lawfully eligible to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Hardness testing, sample preparation, and report writing, including micro and macro examinations
  • Involvement in site and field testing
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 requirements
  • Coordinate with teammates to execute work according to the planned schedule
Skills / Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Metallurgy or related discipline
  • 2-4 years of experience in a laboratory conducting metallurgical testing
  • Knowledge of international standards and codes
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self‑motivated, team‑player with strong organizational and communication abilities
