Intertek (BML) in Kamloops, Canada is seeking a laboratory technician to receive and prepare samples for testing and support metallurgical analyses. The role requires attention to quality control, data review and general lab maintenance.

The base wage starts at $21.21 per hour, with benefits including vacation, paid sick days, medical benefits and more. Intertek is a global leader in QA, offering opportunities for growth. Shift is a morning schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

• Previous laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and prepare samples for testing as requested by the client.
• Conduct metallurgical tests including gravity concentration, flotation concentration and leaching.
• Prepare, review and analyze testing data.
• Identify and correct quality control problems.
• Provide direction and supervision of testing as required.
• General maintenance of equipment; keep the lab clean.

General Responsibilities

To receive and prepare samples ready to conduct laboratory testing as requested by the client.

Specific Responsibilities

• Conducting metallurgical tests including, but not limited to, gravity concentration, flotation concentration and leaching.
• Preparation, review and analysis of testing data.
• Identify and correct quality control problems.
• Provide direction and supervision of testing as required.
• General maintenance of equipment; and
• Keeping the lab in a generally clean condition
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage for this position is starting at $21.21 per hour, depending on relevant industry experience. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate include skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. In addition to competitive compensation packages, Intertek(BML)employees are eligible for a variety of benefits including vacation, paid sick days, medical benefits and more. This is a morning shift from 8.30AM to 4.30PM
