Overview

Adecco is currently seeking full-time Metal Fabricators - Red Seal / Journeypersons to join our esteemed client in Halifax, NS. This long-term, full-time project offers opportunities for LOA and travel allowances. To be eligible for these positions, candidates must hold a Red Seal or Journeyman Ticket and possess prior experience in fabrication, assembly, and fitting using various tools and equipment. Shifts & Pay Rate

• Day Shift: $43.00 per hour (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
• Night Shift: $3.00 per hour shift premium (12:00 am - 7:30 am)
• Back Shift: $3.00 per hour shift premium (5:00 pm - 1:00 am)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to blueprints and procedures
• Perform measurements, cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of parts
• Read and interpret drawings and layouts
• Install interior structures, hatches, doors, bulkheads, etc.
• Utilize various tools and equipment for pipe assembly and welding
• Work with different pipe materials such as carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless steel

Requirements and Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada and resided in Canada for 5 years
• Red Seal or Journeyman Ticket
• Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications
• WHMIS certification
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Government Security Clearance / Background and Credit check
• Full PPE and Fit Tested Respirator Mask required
• Capable of handling, lifting, carrying, and setting up parts and equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more
• Daily commute to work required
