Job summary

Adamson Systems Engineering in Port Perry is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build and maintain the MES that monitors and reports on production efficiency. You will develop backend services with Python and Django, design SQL schemas, and create real-time dashboards using Grafana.

You will integrate MES with ERP, SCADA, and shop-floor systems, work across cross-functional teams, and participate in CI/CD and deployment practices to improve production software reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience with MES, ERP, SCADA, or shop floor applications is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance MES applications for manufacturing execution and reporting.
• Build backend services, APIs, and database-driven apps using Python, Django, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate MES with business systems, equipment interfaces, and real-time protocols like MQTT.
• Create dashboards and monitoring tools using Grafana and related tech.
• Support database design, data modeling, and time-series data management.
• Collaborate across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and IT to deliver practical solutions.
