Summary
A career in our growing Merger and Acquisition Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients in various industries to meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and cross-border tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis and M&A tax solutions.
Our team helps our clients with various aspects of merger and acquisition transactions such as transaction structuring, tax due diligence, internal reorganizations, and post acquisition integration. As part of our team, you’ll have opportunities to assist with assessing historical tax risks of potential targets, analyzing proposed transactions for unusual tax risks or undetermined tax benefits, advising clients on tax-efficient restructurings, and performing financial analysis / modeling to assess the tax consequences of specific transactions.

Experience and skills you’ll use to solve
Experience in corporate and / or international tax research, consulting and compliance in a professional services firm, industry, government agency or law firm is an asset.
Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal / recognized designation.
Superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment.
Ability to think creatively, solve complex problems, determine innovative solutions and communicate with impact.
A commitment to providing excellent client service and pride in delivering top quality work.
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
Ability to work in a multitasked, fast-paced and changing environment.
When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset.
