Job summary

Dollar Tree in Mississauga is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to assist the Store Manager in leading a team, managing merchandising, and processing freight. You’ll help with daily store operations and uphold company standards to deliver a positive customer experience.

The role requires retail and management experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site position with starting pay from $19.10 per hour.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height; frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise to productivity standards.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise with planograms.
