We are seeking a Seasonal Merchandiser to join our Field Sales team. Reporting to a Sales Manager, you will work within big box retailers such as Home Depot, Rona+, Rona, and Reno Depot. Your responsibilities include executing merchandising directives, establishing rapport with store personnel and customers, and relaying inventory opportunities to the Scotts Sales team.

This is a contract position starting in June and ending in August. Typical weekday shifts are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility. Weekend shifts (Saturday 10 am - 2 pm) may be required from mid-April to end of May. The average weekly hours are 16-24 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Merchandise Scotts products, including restocking shelves, racks, displays, and repairing or removing damaged items.
2. Drive in-store sales alongside the Scotts Sales Manager.
3. Assemble fixtures and displays.
4. Install and maintain point of purchase materials.
5. Provide product knowledge and recommendations to consumers and retail staff.
6. Educate consumers about products.

Qualifications for Success:

1. Strong initiative, self-direction, reliability, and independence.
2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
3. Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders up to 4m (12ft), handle heavy lifting, and stand for extended periods.
4. Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
5. Flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.

Additional Requirements:

1. Reside within 25 km of Saskatoon, SK.
2. Valid Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, and Criminal Record check meeting company criteria.
3. Reliable transportation or access to a car during work hours.
4. Access to a computer, printer, smartphone.
5. Steel Toe boots/shoes (green patch).
