Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Mental Health Worker participates in providing client-focused treatment, rehabilitation, and support for persons with mental illness in a residential, community-based facility. They promote a safe, healthy, and non-threatening environment that instills dignity and self-respect. The role involves planning, developing, implementing, delivering, and modifying clinical services by responding to identified client needs within the program's guidelines. The worker motivates, assists, and instructs clients with activities of daily living, reports on clients' conditions, including reactions to medications, escorts clients to off-site programs and appointments, and assesses clients' ability to assume self-care responsibilities.
