Job summary

Yonge Street Mission (YSM) in Toronto is seeking a Manager of Mental Health Services to provide leadership, operations oversight, and strategic direction for our mental health and counselling programs.

You will oversee program development, staffing, and partnerships to ensure accessible, high-quality services aligned with YSM’s mission. This is a full-time, 37.5‑hour week role with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related field.
• Registration in good standing with CRPO or OCSWSSW.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership or management of clinical teams.
• Strong clinical supervision experience and evidence-based practices.
• Experience with vulnerable populations experiencing poverty and trauma.
• Ability to lead programs, manage staff performance, and oversee service delivery.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
• Experience with program evaluation, reporting, and data systems (Salesforce) is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with cross-team collaboration.
• Commitment to YSM’s mission, Christian values, and faith-based identity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage YSM’s mental health programs, including counselling services and groups.
• Design population-specific mental health strategies for adults, families, and youth.
• Oversee staff, interns, and volunteer clinicians, ensuring professional standards.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Oversee program evaluation, data tracking, and reporting (Salesforce, TIMESTR).
• Manage departmental planning, budgeting, and funder alignment.
• Support staff in handling complex and high-risk cases, including crises.
• Build external partnerships within the mental health sector.
