Bayshore HealthCare is excited to invite a Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our Winnipeg, MB team on a full-time contract. The role focuses on daytime hours with no nights or weekends, serving a military health services population.

The MHN will assess, diagnose, and implement care plans, provide crisis intervention, and conduct counseling and life-skills programming. A CNCE/Nursing license and BLS/CPR are required, with CBT or motivational interviewing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurses must be licensed in their province or territory.
• Minimum of 3 years of Mental Health experience in the last 5 years.
• BLS/CPR Level C certification, annual recertification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients in a primary health care setting and develop care plans.
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and life skills programming.
• Deliver individual and group therapy using CBT and motivational interviewing techniques.
• Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspectives.
• Collaborate with the team to support military health services.

Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a Full-Time contract opportunity for a Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team in Winnipeg, MB! We're looking for dedicated professionals with three (3) years of experience in Mental Health in the last (five) 5 years to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services!

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse who is looking for a day shift opportunity (no nights, no weekends), and who is ready for an exciting challenge working with an extremely unique and rewarding patient population!

OurMental Health Nurses (MHNs) provide Mental Health services to our client in a primary health care setting where theyare responsible for assessment, nursing diagnosis, development and implementation of a care plans, crisis intervention,andcounseling and life skills programming to the clients in the clinic.

An important part of this role is to provide counseling services in individual and/or group therapy sessions using CBT, DVT or motivational interview techniques. Candidates also need to be skilled in bio-psychosocial assessments and conducting medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspective.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

• All Nurses - Mental Health must be Registered Nurses
• Registered Nurses must, as a minimum, possess:
• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university with either a certificate in Mental Health Nursing or certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA);
• A Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary
• Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C. Annual recertification is required.
