Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness University District in Calgary is seeking a part-time Sales Associate who greets guests, guides them through their first class, and converts intro workouts into memberships that fit their routine.

You will call, text, and email leads to book classes, track progress, and meet weekly sales goals while supporting social media promos and studio events. 1–2 weekday evenings and weekends availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or membership-based roles.
• Interest in the fitness industry.
• Excellent phone skills and ability to contact leads.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

Sales Associate (Part-Time)
Orangetheory Fitness University District | Calgary, AB | On-site

Our studio runs on first impressions. As a Sales Associate at Orangetheory University District, you’re the first person a new member meets and the reason they come back. You’ll welcome people at the front desk, help them through their first class, and turn a free intro workout into a membership that changes their routine. If you love fitness, enjoy talking with people, and like working toward targets, we want to meet you.

What you’ll do

• Greet members and guests, check them in, and keep the front desk and lobby running smoothly
• Walk intro guests through the Orangetheory experience before and after their first class, then help them pick the right membership
• Call, text, and email leads to book intro classes and make sure they show up
• Hit weekly and monthly sales goals for memberships and intro shows
• Track leads and follow-ups in Google Sheets/Excel
• Create simple social media posts and studio promos in Canva
• Handle member questions, account changes, and booking issues with care
• Help with studio events, referral pushes, and community outreach

The honest part

This is a sales role with targets, and we track them. at least 1 Weekend day is mandatory, opening shifts are 5:45am or 6:00am start, closing shifts end at 8:30pm. People who are self-driven and enjoy that pace do well here.

What you need

• Sales experience (retail, membership, commission, or target-based)
• A real interest in fitness and the fitness industry
• Excellent phone skills, including calling leads you haven’t met yet
• Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience with Canva
• General knowledge of social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
• A passion for creating a great member experience
• Availability for 1–2 weekday evening shifts (until 8:30 p.m.) plus weekends

Bonus points

• Currently studying kinesiology, personal training, or a related field
• Fitness or gym industry experience
• Experience with a CRM or booking system
