Job description

Member Services Associate / Relief Night Supervisor

The Granite Club is seeking a personable and professional individual for the dual role of Member Services Associate and Relief Night Supervisor. This position is responsible for ensuring an exceptional Member experience, maintaining safety and security, acting as a first responder in emergencies, and assisting with Member inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Enforce Club policies and house rules, ensuring Members are aware of them.
  • Operate the switchboard, handle phone calls, and assist with external calls and taxi arrangements.
  • Manage door access according to the schedule.
  • Handle internal mail and packages.
  • Assist Members with wheelchairs as needed.
  • Provide information on events, policies, and directions.
  • Maintain security by challenging unfamiliar persons entering the building.
  • Ensure the safety of children when separated from parents.
  • Act as a first responder for medical and security issues.
  • Direct visitors and guests appropriately.
  • Report deficiencies and complete work orders in the Angus system.
  • Coordinate after-hours deliveries and manage the receiving door.
  • Follow Club emergency procedures.
  • Perform nightly patrols of the entire building.
  • Log and manage Lost and Found items.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality or related field (asset).
  • Shift leadership experience in hospitality (asset).
  • Courteous and pleasant demeanor.
  • First Aid, CPR, and Defibrillator certifications (asset).
  • Fluent in English, with good reading and writing skills.
  • Technical proficiency with switchboard, computers, and security equipment.
  • Ability to handle and balance money.
  • Basic computer skills.
Work Schedule:
  • Availability for weekends, weekdays, holidays, mornings, and evenings.
