Job summary

Prospera Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Specialist in Maple Ridge, BC. The role focuses on delivering exceptional member service while supporting sales and developing relationships within the local community.

The successful candidate must live in the local community near the Maple Ridge branch. The position offers a base salary plus incentives with flexible benefits and opportunities for professional development.

• Banking or advisory sales experience is required.

• Greet customers, establish rapport and address service inquiries and concerns, seeking opportunities to deepen relationships.

• Refer customers to team members and partners to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Handle member personal banking needs through discovery conversations and opening new products and services.
• Provide back-up support to ensure an exceptional member experience.
• Participate in sales meetings and maintain a history of sales and service activity in the CRM.

As a Member Service Specialist, you will uncover and support sales while delivering exceptional customer service and is responsible for proactively developing positive relationships and satisfying our members' product and service needs.

The successful candidate must be a resident of the local community and live within close proximity to the branch.

What you’ll do:

• Greet customers, establish rapport, address service inquiries and customer concerns, and seek opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
• Proactively seek occasions to demonstrate our value proposition, uncover needs, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Refer customers to other team members and business partners as needed, collaborating to ensure a seamless and rewarding customer experience.
• Handle member personal banking needs through discovery conversations and opening new products such as personal and business profiles, term deposits, and other banking products and services.
• Ensure an exceptional member experience by providing back-up support for other team members.
• Participate in sales meetings and maintain an accurate history of sales and service activity on the customer relationship management system.
• Support and participate in community initiatives.

What you bring:

• Previous banking, credit union or advisory sales experience with a strong interest in developing your financial services career.

What we offer:

• Prospera offers a total compensation package of base salary plus incentives that is market competitive and reviewed annually. Our expected starting salary for this role is $40,000 to $50,000 per annum based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
