Vancity is hiring a Financial Services Representative for Burnaby Heights Community Branch. This full-time on-site role focuses on greeting members, advising on banking needs, and guiding them to appropriate products and specialists.

The position emphasizes relationship-building, extending digital tools usage, and compliant service delivery. Scheduled as a 5- or 11-month contract with weekend availability, the role reports to the Assistant Branch Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to listen, explain concepts clearly and build trust.
• Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or other service-oriented roles.
• Sales-oriented mindset with ability to meet member needs.
• Digital confidence to learn and use CRM systems and digital banking tools.
• Attention to detail in documenting interactions and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Understand member needs across everyday banking, borrowing, investments, and protection.
• Guide members to suitable products or specialists.
• Teach members to use online tools for self-service banking.
• Follow through on commitments and ensure smooth hand-offs.
• Maintain professionalism and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
