Job summary

Servus Credit Union in Ponoka is hiring a temporary full-time Financial Advisor/Senior Financial Advisor at the Ponoka Branch. The role focuses on developing long-term member relationships and delivering customized financial solutions.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will identify opportunities, meet sales targets, and collaborate with Wealth Management and Business Banking teams. A minimum of two years in retail banking or related finance is required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail banking or related financial industry experience.
• Preferably in sales or customer service and a high school diploma.
• Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies) or IFIC certification.

Responsibilities

• Identifying opportunities to match members with the right products and solutions that help shape their financial fitness.
• Meeting and exceeding sales targets and referral goals.
• Participating in business development plans through corporate/branch marketing campaigns.
• Demonstrating excellent communication skills and engaging members to determine needs.
• Developing knowledge of investment/retail banking services and products (mutual funds, underwriting, credits, loans, etc.).
• Promoting referrals to Wealth Management, Business Banking, and 3rd party providers.
• Maintaining knowledge of the local market, offers, and economic trends.
• Adhering to audits, policies, and regulatory requirements to mitigate risks.
