Job summary

Altis is supporting a leading credit union in Toronto by sourcing a relationship-focused Personal Banking Officer. The permanent, full-time role emphasizes understanding members’ goals and recommending banking, credit, mortgage and investment solutions.

You will work with members, branch colleagues, and partners to grow relationships while delivering a positive member experience. The role requires 3+ years in financial services, mortgage lending experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a financial institution or equivalent.
• Experience providing credit solutions, especially mortgage lending.
• Proven sales experience with strong interviewing, relationship-building, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of investments, lending, mortgages and financial needs analysis.
• CSC or IFIC completion is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical/mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively connect with members through calls, renewal lists, referrals, and sales leads to understand their financial needs.
• Recommend banking, credit, mortgage and investment solutions with thoughtful financial advice.
• Build and maintain relationships with individual members, businesses, co-operatives and not-for-profit organizations.
• Identify high-value opportunities and connect members with internal or external partners when specialized expertise is required.
• Contribute to sales and retention goals by uncovering longer-term financial needs and following through on opportunities.
• Apply risk-based pricing, anti-money laundering requirements and established policies in member interactions.
