Responsibilities

  • Conduct a wide range of financial transactions while accurately balancing cash drawers and daily records.
  • Manage ATM and night depository deposits; investigate and resolve cash discrepancies.
  • Process debit and credit card applications in accordance with credit union policies.
  • Deliver exceptional account support by explaining services, addressing inquiries, and assisting with account changes.
  • Resolve member concerns and account discrepancies professionally, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Actively promote and cross-sell credit union products and services based on member needs.
  • Stay current with marketing campaigns and actively participate in promotional initiatives.
  • Assess individual member financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Refer complex requests or specialized services to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Support the achievement of branch and individual sales goals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of credit union products, services, and competitive offerings.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improving service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Risk Management & Compliance
  • Adheres to security procedures as they relate to the position.
  • Acts as joint custodian on assigned combinations; securely maintains branch and member records.
  • Ensures that cash is within the required limits of the credit union policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to the Government of Canada Proceeds of Crime, Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act, ensuring compliance with the policy and procedures.
  • Reviews Risk Management policies and procedures (including but not limited to robbery, money laundering, privacy and branch security) on an annual basis.
The ideal candidate will have completed a High School diploma plus 1 year experience with cash including:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of products and services.
  • Skilled in sales, promotion, and making referrals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiar with compliance, privacy, and financial regulatory requirements.
This position has an annual salary in the range of $43,605 - $51,300.
