AMGH is seeking a Medical Transcriptionist to support Health Records with transcription of dictation and compliance with Ontario privacy laws. The role requires strong medical terminology knowledge and the ability to work with hospital software and procedures.

The position may involve part-time or temporary shifts, with opportunities for growth into future full-time roles as available. A collaborative team environment and support from Human Resources are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ recent medical transcription experience in a Health Records setting.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and pharmacology.
• Proficient with hospital software and privacy regulations in Ontario.

Responsabilités

• Assess requests and prioritize them.
• Handle stressful situations.
• Prepare correspondence, health information releases and reports; as well as sort, review and file documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Ontario privacy legislation.
• Transcribe 100 minutes of dictation per day.
