Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in post-secondary teaching preferred.
• Willingness to complete Instructional Diploma Program if not already trained in adult education methodology.
• Strong collaboration with faculty, clinical partners, and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Years 1 and 2 of the Medical Radiography Technology Program, including theory, lab, and practicum courses.
• Provide instructional coverage in other areas of the program as needed by the department.
• Contribute to program development, accreditation activities, and quality assurance.

Job description

The College of New Caledonia has a full-time probationary faculty appointment in the Medical Radiography Technology Program.

The successful candidate will teach across Years 1 and 2 of the program, with responsibilities that may include theory, laboratory, and practicum courses. The successful candidate may also be required to provide instructional coverage in other areas of the program as program needs change.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills, as well as effective interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership abilities. A commitment to student success, lifelong learning, and collaborative practice is essential. The successful candidate will maintain current knowledge of medical radiography practice and contribute to the integration of classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning. They will contribute to program development and continuous improvement, including activities related to accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and the implementation of professional and clinical standards. They will work collaboratively with CNC faculty, colleagues, clinical partners, and other educational and community partners.

Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, colleagues, clinical partners, and other external stakeholders. The successful candidate must be prepared to complete the Instructional Diploma Program if they do not already possess training in adult education methodology.
