Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist for Interventional Radiology to join the Toronto General Hospital team. You will perform interventional procedures using advanced imaging systems and support patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires CAMRT Interventional Radiology Specialty certification or equivalent and valid CMRITO registration; BCLS Level II certification is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to perform Interventional Radiology procedures using advanced systems and equipment.

• Coordinate daily work schedule and priorities, including emergency/add-on cases and on-call support.

Salary:$39.20 - $58.80 per hour
Shifts:Rotating 8 hour shifts across weekdays & evenings. On-Call shifts as needed
Status:Temporary Full Time (1 year)

Position Summary

• Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to perform Interventional Radiology procedures using advanced systems and equipment in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures
• Provide exceptional care to patients, families and caregivers while adhering to Medical Imaging department and UHN policies and best practices
• Effectively communicate with inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams
• Work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting
• Participate in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoring, as required
• Coordinate daily work schedule, prioritizes emergency/add-on cases, as required
• CMRITO registration
• CAMRT registration, preferred
• Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification, with maintenance of certification
• Related technologist experience in a hospital environment, an asset
• Current enrollment in/completion of the CAMRT Interventional Radiology Specialty certificate program, an asset
• Effective time management skills and ability to organize and prioritize work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making including an ability to respond to changing and emergent situations
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
