This position is based at Foothills Medical Centre within a dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department. The Computed Tomography Technologist, under limited supervision, assesses patients, interprets diagnostic data, and provides information to Radiologists to aid in diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management. The role requires working all shifts and on-call as assigned, with potential rotation through the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform specialized diagnostic radiological imaging examinations for disease and pathology diagnosis.
  • Interpret physician requisitions and assist with imaging equipment maintenance.
  • Work all shifts and on-call as scheduled, including rotation through different units as required.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
  • Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • CAMRT Continuing Education course (CT 1,2,3 or equivalent) or courses in progress.
  • Minimum two years of general technical experience.
  • I.V. Certification and general computer knowledge.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams, under pressure, and in emergency situations.
  • Practices effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of current CT experience.
  • Cardiac CT experience preferred.
Additional Details:
  • Employment Type: Temporary, Full-time (FTE 1.00)
  • Salary Range: $38.39 - $49.34 per hour
  • Location: Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta
  • Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call
